Emily & Jane

In better control with their pump since 2012 & 2011

I was diagnosed 6 years ago and started with multiple daily injections. Although I worked very hard at them, they simply didn’t fit with my lifestyle and I found trying to manage my diabetes frustrating and exhausting. So, when the insulin pump was suggested to me, I was very happy and ready to try it. My HBA1c improved and is still improving, as I learn more tips and ways to use my pump. I realised that if I had started using my pump sooner, I could have achieved better control years earlier. When my daughter Emily was diagnosed last year, I was very glad that she could start on her pump much faster and achieve good control.
